Zambia Visa for Egypt Citizens 2026

e-Visa / eTA

Egyptian citizens can apply for a Zambia e-visa online at evisa.zambiaimmigration.gov.zm - single-entry tourist e-visas cost USD 50 and are usually processed within 3-5 business days.

Guide last updated October 19, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned entry date, with at least one blank page
  • Digital passport photo and scanned passport bio-data page uploaded during the online application
  • Confirmed round-trip flight ticket and proof of accommodation booking
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay may be requested
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate if arriving from or transiting a country with yellow fever risk
  • Travel health insurance is recommended but not mandatory for the e-visa
  • No in-person biometrics are required for the e-visa; photo and fingerprints may be taken on arrival at some entry points

Visa types

  • Single-entry e-visa: valid for a stay of up to 90 days, fee USD 50
  • Double-entry e-visa: fee USD 80
  • KAZA Univisa (covers both Zambia and Zimbabwe, plus day trips to Botswana's Chobe): single entry, 30-day validity, fee USD 50, available online or on arrival at participating ports

How to apply online

  • Visit the official portal at evisa.zambiaimmigration.gov.zm and register an account
  • Complete the online application with passport and travel details, selecting single, double entry, or KAZA Univisa as appropriate
  • Upload your passport scan, photo, and supporting documents
  • Pay the visa fee online by credit/debit card in USD
  • Receive the e-visa approval letter by email, typically within 3-5 business days
  • Print the approval letter and present it with your passport on arrival; biometric capture (photo, fingerprints) is completed at the immigration desk

Fees & processing time

  • Single-entry e-visa fee: USD 50; KAZA Univisa: USD 50; double-entry: USD 80, all paid online
  • No separate service fee for applications made directly through the government portal
  • Total estimated cost: USD 50-85 depending on visa type chosen
  • Standard processing time: 3-5 business days
  • No official express service; apply at least 10 days before travel to avoid delays

Tips for Egypt travelers

  • Apply online well ahead of your trip, especially if you also plan to visit Zimbabwe, so you can decide whether the KAZA Univisa suits your itinerary better than a single-country visa
  • Common rejection reasons: unclear passport scans, mismatched travel dates, or missing yellow fever certificate when required
  • Use the official government portal only - some unofficial sites charge extra for the same e-visa service
  • Keep both digital and printed copies of your approval letter for check-in and for the immigration desk on arrival
  • Extensions can be requested at a Zambia Immigration office in-country before the visa expires
