What you need

  • Digital passport-style photo (JPEG, white background) uploaded during the online application
  • Scanned copy of your passport's main data page
  • Confirmed return flight ticket (may be requested during review)
  • Proof of funds is not usually required for the tourist e-visa but can speed up approval if attached
  • Travel health insurance is recommended though not mandatory for the e-visa
  • No biometrics are required for the e-visa; biometrics are only taken at the border on arrival in some cases

Visa types

  • Single-entry tourist e-visa: valid 30 days from issue, stay up to 30 days, fee USD 20
  • Double-entry e-visa: stay up to 30 days per entry, fee USD 50
  • Multiple-entry e-visa (business/tourism): valid up to 90 days, fee USD 75

How to apply online

  • Go to the official portal at e-visa.gov.uz and create an account with your email
  • Fill in the online application form with passport details and travel dates
  • Upload your passport scan and digital photo
  • Pay the visa fee online by credit or debit card in USD
  • Wait for an email confirmation; most applications are processed within 2-3 business days
  • Print the approval letter (e-visa) and carry it along with your passport when traveling; it is checked on arrival alongside your passport

Fees & processing time

  • Visa fee: USD 20 for single-entry tourist e-visa, paid online
  • No separate service fee since the application is submitted directly through the government portal
  • Total estimated cost: USD 20-25 including the online payment processing charge
  • Standard processing time: 2-3 business days
  • An urgent service is not officially offered; apply at least a week before travel to be safe

Tips for Egypt travelers

  • Apply online at least 7-10 days before your trip to avoid last-minute issues with the payment gateway
  • Common rejection reasons: blurry photo uploads, passport scans with glare, or mismatched travel dates between the application and your flight booking
  • There is no need to visit the Uzbek embassy or a VFS center - the entire process is done online
  • Keep a printed and digital copy of your e-visa approval, since some airlines check it before boarding
  • The e-visa cannot be extended from inside Uzbekistan; travelers needing a longer stay should apply for a new visa type before arrival
