What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry

  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host's invitation letter)
  • Round-trip flight ticket
  • Bank statement for the last 3 months showing sufficient funds
  • Employment letter or business registration, as applicable
  • Travel health insurance covering the stay is recommended
  • Biometrics taken in person at the consulate when submitting the application

Visa types

  • Tourist visa - single entry, valid up to 90 days, fee around MAD 280 (about USD 28)
  • Multiple-entry tourist visa - for frequent travelers, valid up to 1 year, higher fee around MAD 550
  • Business visa - requires an invitation from a Moroccan company, similar processing to tourist visa
  • Student visa - requires an admission letter from a Moroccan institution, separate long-stay procedure

  • Create an account and complete the online pre-application at consulat.ma, then print the generated form
  • Book an appointment at the Moroccan consulate in Cairo and submit the printed form with supporting documents
  • Pay the visa fee in cash or by card as instructed by the consulate
  • Standard processing takes 5-10 working days
  • Collect your passport with the visa in person; some consulates allow courier return
