Honduras Visa for Egypt Citizens 2026

Egyptian citizens must obtain a visa before traveling to Honduras, applied for in advance through the nearest Honduran consulate since Honduras has no diplomatic mission in Egypt.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay, with at least 2 blank pages
  • Completed and signed Honduras visa application form
  • Two passport-size photos (5x5 cm, white background, taken within the last 6 months)
  • Proof of sufficient funds (bank statements for the last 3 months, minimum balance equivalent to USD 1,000-2,000 recommended)
  • Hotel reservation or invitation letter, plus a round-trip flight itinerary
  • No biometrics collected at consulate stage; fingerprints may be taken on arrival at Honduran immigration
  • Travel health insurance strongly recommended though not always strictly enforced

Visa types

  • Tourist visa (Visa de Turista): single entry, valid for a stay of up to 90 days, fee approx. USD 30
  • Business visa: similar validity, requires an invitation letter from a Honduran company
  • Honduras participates in the CA-4 regional agreement with Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua, so a single Honduran visa also allows travel within these four countries

How to apply

  • Since there is no Honduran embassy in Egypt, applicants typically apply through the nearest Honduran consulate or honorary consul, or by courier/mail
  • Submit the completed application, passport, photos, and supporting documents; some missions accept mail-in applications for nationalities without local representation
  • An interview is occasionally requested for first-time applicants
  • Applications are handled manually since there is no regional VFS/BLS center for Honduras

  • Visa fee: approximately USD 30, payable in cash or by bank transfer depending on the handling mission
  • No separate service-center fee since applications go directly to the consulate
  • Standard processing time: 10-15 working days once the full file is received
  • No expedited/priority service is generally offered

  • Start the process at least 4-6 weeks in advance given the lack of a Honduran mission in Egypt and reliance on courier/mail processing
  • Common delays: incomplete bank statements, missing hotel confirmation, or an itinerary mismatched to the requested visa duration
  • A Honduran visa also covers Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua under CA-4, so plan a multi-country Central America itinerary
