Fiji Visa for Egypt Citizens 2026

Visa Required

Egyptian citizens require a visa before traveling to Fiji; apply for a Visitor Visa through Fiji's Department of Immigration (immigration.gov.fj) or the nearest Fijian diplomatic mission, with a fee of around FJD 134 (about $60 USD) and processing of 5-10 working days.

Guide last updated October 17, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure from Fiji.
  • Completed Fiji Visitor Visa application form, available from immigration.gov.fj.
  • Confirmed return or onward air ticket.
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter if staying with a host).
  • Evidence of sufficient funds for the length of stay (bank statements for the last 3 months).
  • Passport-style photo, 45mm x 35mm, plain white background.
  • Biometrics are not collected pre-arrival; fingerprints/photo may be taken at the port of entry.
  • Travel health insurance covering medical evacuation is strongly recommended.

Visa types

  • Visitor Visa (tourism/visiting family): single entry, valid for a stay of up to 4 months, fee approx. FJD 134 (~$60 USD).
  • Business Visa: single or multiple entry, up to 4 months, requires an invitation/sponsor letter from the Fijian host company, fee approx. FJD 134-269.
  • Transit Visa: for stays under 48 hours at Nadi International Airport, lower fee, limited validity.

How to apply

  • Download and complete the Visitor Visa application form from the Fiji Department of Immigration website.
  • Gather supporting documents: passport copy, photo, flight itinerary, accommodation proof, and bank statements.
  • Submit the application and documents by email or courier to the Department of Immigration in Suva, or through the nearest Fijian High Commission/Consulate (Fiji has no embassy in Egypt, so applications are usually routed via the UAE mission or directly to Suva).
  • Pay the visa fee by bank transfer or card as instructed in the acknowledgment email.
  • Standard processing takes 5-10 working days once all documents are received; no in-person interview is normally required.

Fees & processing time

  • Visitor Visa fee: approx. FJD 134 (~$60 USD).
  • Business Visa fee: approx. FJD 134-269 (~$60-120 USD) depending on entries requested.
  • No mandatory third-party service fee since there is no VFS/BLS center for Fiji in Egypt - fees are paid directly to Immigration.
  • Standard processing time: 5-10 working days from receipt of complete documents.
  • No official express service; allow extra time if documents must be posted internationally.

Tips for Egypt travelers

  • Apply at least 4-6 weeks before travel since applications are mailed to Suva and there is no local Fijian mission in Cairo.
  • Common rejection reasons: incomplete bank statements, no proof of return ticket, and unclear purpose-of-visit letters.
  • Keep scanned copies of every document you send, since courier-based applications can occasionally go missing.
  • If transiting through Australia or New Zealand en route to Fiji, check their separate transit visa requirements for Egyptian passport holders.
  • Extensions beyond 4 months can be requested in person at the Department of Immigration office in Suva before the visa expires.
