  • Proof of accommodation for your stay
  • Proof of sufficient funds

Visa types

  • Upload your passport bio page and photo
  • Pay the fee by card, approximately USD 25-35
  • Approval is typically issued within 2-5 business days by email as a PDF to print and present at check-in and on arrival at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport

Fees & processing time

  • e-Tourist Card fee is approximately USD 25-35
  • Standard processing takes 2-5 business days; rush options may be available for an added fee
  • Total cost with service fees is typically under USD 45

Tips for Canada travelers

  • Apply online at least a week before departure, since airlines require the approved card at check-in
  • Keep both a digital and printed copy of your approval
  • Extensions beyond 90 days require an application to the Immigration Department (Vreemdelingenpolitie) in Paramaribo
  • Both Dutch and English are useful for navigating Surinamese government offices
