Tips for Angola travelers

  • Apply well in advance: Aim to submit your e-Visa application at least 2-3 weeks before your travel date to account for potential processing delays.
  • Common Rejection Reasons: Incomplete or incorrect documentation, insufficient financial proof, unclear purpose of visit, or previous immigration violations can lead to rejection. Ensure all uploaded documents are clear, legible, and meet the specified requirements.
  • Direct Embassy vs. e-Visa: For Angola citizens, e-Visa is the primary and most convenient method for short-term tourist or business trips. Direct applications at the embassy are generally for other visa types or specific circumstances.
  • Travel Advisories: Always check the latest travel advisories for Malaysia issued by the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs or relevant authorities before planning your trip.
  • Extension Options: Extensions of stay are typically handled by the Immigration Department of Malaysia. However, e-Visas are generally for short stays and extensions may be difficult to obtain. It is best to plan your trip within the allowed duration of the e-Visa.
