What you need

How to apply online

  • Visit the official Uganda e-visa portal: https://visas.immigration.go.ug/
  • Create an account or log in.
  • Select 'Apply for Visa' and choose the appropriate visa category (e.g., 'Ordinary Visa' for tourist or business).
  • Fill out the online application form accurately and completely.
  • Upload required documents: scanned passport bio-data page, passport-sized photo, invitation letter (if applicable), hotel booking (if applicable), proof of financial means.
  • Pay the visa fee online using a credit or debit card (Visa or MasterCard are commonly accepted).
  • Submit the application.
  • Processing time: Typically 3-5 working days. Expedited processing may be available for an additional fee.
  • Approval: If approved, you will receive an 'Approved e-visa' notification via email. Print this document and present it along with your passport upon arrival in Uganda.
