What you need

  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond the arrival date
  • Digital or printed passport-style photo
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host details)
  • Return or onward flight ticket
  • Sufficient cash (USD or EUR) to pay the on-arrival fee if not applying online in advance
  • No biometrics required for the visa on arrival or e-visa

Visa types

  • Tourist visa on arrival / e-visa: single entry, valid for a stay of up to 45 days, fee around USD 50
  • Business e-visa: single entry, requires an invitation letter from a Tajik company, similar validity and fee
  • GBAO permit (for the Pamir Highway region) can be added to either visa type for an extra fee of about USD 20

  • Available at Dushanbe International Airport and select other entry points
  • Present passport, photo, and proof of accommodation at the visa counter
  • Pay the fee in cash (USD or EUR preferred)
