Algerian citizens need a Suriname e-Tourist Card obtained online via VFS Global before travel; fee is about USD 25, processing 2-5 business days.

What you need

  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond the planned stay
  • Digital passport-style photo, white or light background, uploaded during the online application
  • Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host address)
  • A valid email address to receive the approved e-Tourist Card
  • Debit or credit card to pay the fee online
  • No biometrics collection required for the e-Tourist Card

Visa types

  • e-Tourist Card: single entry, valid for a stay of up to 90 days, issued for tourism or family visits
  • Business e-Visa: single entry, requires an invitation letter from a Suriname company, valid up to 90 days
  • Both are processed through the same online VFS Global portal for Suriname

How to apply online

  • Go to the official Suriname e-Visa portal at www.vfsglobal.com/suriname
  • Create an account, fill in personal and travel details, and upload the required documents
  • Pay the fee online (about USD 25, plus a small VFS service fee)
  • Processing typically takes 2-5 business days
  • Approval is sent by email as a PDF; print it and carry it along with your passport when boarding and on arrival

  • e-Tourist Card fee: approximately USD 25
  • VFS Global service fee: approximately USD 10-15 on top of the government fee
  • Total estimated cost: USD 35-40
  • Standard processing: 2-5 business days
  • No express option is currently offered for the Suriname e-Tourist Card

Tips for Algeria travelers
