What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen area, issued within the last 10 years
  • Completed Schengen visa application form, signed
  • Two recent biometric photos, 35x45mm, white background
  • Round-trip flight reservation
  • Proof of accommodation for the entire stay in Poland
  • Proof of funds: bank statements showing at least PLN 300+ per day of stay (amount varies by purpose)
  • Schengen-compliant travel health insurance with minimum EUR 30,000 coverage
  • Biometrics (fingerprints and photo) collected in person at the VFS Global center, valid for 5 years if unchanged

Visa types

  • Schengen Tourist Visa (Type C): single or multiple entry, validity from a few days up to 5 years for frequent travelers, max 90 days per 180-day period, fee EUR 80
  • Business Visa: same category, requires an invitation letter from a Polish company
  • National Visa (Type D): for study, work, or long stays exceeding 90 days, requires additional documentation

How to apply

  • Book an appointment at the VFS Global Poland visa application center in Algeria
  • Complete the online Schengen visa application form
  • Attend the appointment in person to submit documents and biometrics
  • Pay the visa fee plus the VFS service fee at the center
  • Track the application status online; passport is returned via the center or courier once the consulate decides
