Algerian citizens can obtain a visa on arrival at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport — fee around USD 25 (or LBP equivalent), valid for a single-entry stay of up to 1 month, extendable to 3 months.

What you need

  • Passport valid at least 6 months from date of entry
  • Return or onward flight ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host address)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay
  • 1 passport photo (may be requested at some checkpoints)
  • Biometrics: fingerprints taken at passport control on arrival
  • Travel health insurance: recommended, not mandatory

Visa types

  • Single-entry tourist visa on arrival: valid 1 month, extendable up to 3 months, free of charge for most stays under General Security rules for Arab League nationals, otherwise approx USD 25
  • Multiple-entry visa: available in advance from a Lebanese embassy, validity 6 months to 1 year, fee approx USD 40-60
  • Business visa: obtainable at the airport with an invitation letter from a Lebanese company, similar fee to tourist VOA

Visa on arrival

  • Available at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport passport control; not available at land borders with Syria
  • Present passport, return ticket, and accommodation details at the visa counter before immigration
  • Fee, when applicable, is payable in USD or LBP cash at the counter
  • Queues are shortest early morning; allow 30-45 minutes during peak arrival times
  • Stay can be extended at the General Security office in Beirut before the initial period expires

  • Visa on arrival fee: free for most Arab League nationals including Algeria for the first month, or approx USD 25 where charged
  • Extension fee (up to 3 months total): approx LBP equivalent of USD 30-50
  • No advance processing time — issued on the spot at the airport
  • Pre-arranged multiple-entry visa from the embassy: 5-7 working days
