What you need

  • Travel medical insurance with minimum EUR 30,000 coverage valid across Schengen
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
  • Round-trip flight reservation
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months showing sufficient funds
  • Biometrics (fingerprints + photo) required in person at the VFS Global visa application centre

Visa types

  • Schengen Tourist visa (Type C): single/double/multiple entry, valid up to 90 days within 180 days, fee EUR 80
  • Business visa (Type C): multiple entry, validity up to 5 years for frequent travelers with a track record, fee EUR 80
  • Student/long-stay national visa (Type D): for study over 90 days, processed directly by the Latvian embassy, fee EUR 100
