What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from your entry date, with at least 2 blank pages

  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate - mandatory for entry, uploaded with the application or checked on arrival
  • No in-person biometrics for the e-visa itself, but fingerprints/photo may be taken on arrival at N'Djamena airport

  • Tourist e-visa: single entry, valid 90 days from issue, max stay 30 days, fee approx USD 130-160
  • Business e-visa: single or multiple entry, valid up to 6 months, requires an invitation from a Chadian company, fee approx USD 160-200
  • Multiple-entry e-visa: available for frequent business travelers, valid up to 1 year, higher fee (approx USD 300)

  • Go to the official portal evisa.gouv.td and create an account
  • Fill in the online application form with passport and trip details
  • Upload your passport bio page photo, a passport-style photo, and your yellow fever certificate
  • Pay the fee online by credit/debit card
  • Processing typically takes 72 hours; you receive the e-visa approval by email as a PDF
  • Print the approval and present it with your passport on arrival at N'Djamena international airport or a land border
