  • Proof of sufficient funds (bank statement showing at least USD 1,000 or equivalent)
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate recommended if arriving from an endemic area
  • Travel health insurance covering the stay in Bolivia
  • No biometrics required for the e-visa; fingerprints may be taken on arrival

  • Tourist visa (VISA-C): single or multiple entry, valid 90 days within a 180-day window, fee approx USD 55
  • Business visa: similar validity, requires an invitation letter from a Bolivian company, fee approx USD 55
  • Transit visa: for short layovers, fee approx USD 30

  • Create an account on Bolivia's Consulado Virtual e-visa portal (rree.gob.bo)
  • Upload the passport, photo, accommodation proof, and financial proof
  • Pay the consular fee online by card
  • The nearest reviewing Bolivian consulate approves and emails the visa as a PDF
  • Print the approved e-visa and present it with your passport at the port of entry
