Albania Visa for Algeria Citizens 2026

Algerian citizens can apply for an Albanian e-Visa online via e-albania.al; a short-stay tourist e-visa costs around EUR 30-60 and is usually processed within 10 working days.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from Albania, with at least 1 blank page
  • Completed online application on the e-albania.al portal
  • Digital passport-style photo, recent, plain background, uploaded during the application
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host's address)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the length of stay (bank statement)
  • Return or onward travel ticket
  • Travel health insurance covering the Schengen area/Albania for at least the trip duration
  • No in-person biometrics required for the e-visa; photo and passport scan are uploaded online

Visa types

  • Tourist e-visa: single entry, valid up to 90 days within a 180-day period, fee approx. EUR 30-40
  • Business e-visa: single or multiple entry, valid up to 90 days, fee approx. EUR 40-60, requires a business invitation letter
  • Transit e-visa: valid up to 5 days, fee approx. EUR 20, requires onward ticket

How to apply online

  • Register and apply through the e-albania.al national services portal (the visa service is listed under the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs section)
  • Upload passport scan, photo, invitation or accommodation proof, and flight itinerary
  • Pay the fee online by card (EUR); payment confirmation is required before the application is reviewed
  • Standard processing time is around 10 working days, though it can be faster for straightforward tourist applications
  • Approval is issued as a digital e-visa document to print and carry alongside your passport, presented on arrival at Tirana International Airport or a land/sea border

  • Business e-visa fee: approx. EUR 40-60 (around USD 44-66)
  • No separate VFS/BLS service fee - the e-visa is issued directly by the Albanian government portal
  • Total cost estimate: EUR 30-65 including the digital photo requirement
  • Standard processing time: up to 10 working days
  • Express processing: limited availability; applying at least 2-3 weeks ahead is recommended instead

Tips for Algeria travelers

  • Apply at least 2-3 weeks before travel since Albania reviews Algerian applications individually rather than through an automated instant system
  • Make sure the uploaded passport scan is clear and all pages are legible - blurry scans are a common reason for delay or rejection
  • Business applicants should secure a signed invitation letter from the Albanian host company before applying
  • Keep a printed copy of the e-visa approval, as border officers may not always be able to look it up digitally
  • Short extensions are possible through local police directorates in Albania but should be requested well before the e-visa expires
