  • Photo spec: digital passport-style photo uploaded with the application; photo should be 35x45 mm (or 2x2 inches), white background, in JPG/PNG format, max 2 MB.
  • Biometrics: no separate biometric appointment is required for the online e-visa; border authorities may collect biometric data on arrival if needed.
  • Travel health insurance: not mandatory, but recommended.

  • Student visa: Not available via the online e-visa portal; requires direct contact with a Sierra Leone embassy or immigration authority.

How to apply online

Tips for Afghanistan travelers
