Tips for Afghanistan travelers

  • Apply well in advance: Start the e-Visa application at least 15–20 days before travel to accommodate potential delays.
  • Common rejection reasons for Afghan applicants: inconsistencies in personal data, mismatch between travel purpose and requested visa type, insufficient funds proof, missing or unclear accommodation or itinerary documents, invalid passport validity.
  • VFS/BLS vs direct embassy: Moldova e-Visa is completed online through the official MFA portal; there is no separate VFS/BLS submission for e-Visas.
  • Travel advisories or bilateral notes: Check the Moldova MFA travel advisories and ensure compliance with entry requirements; verify health and safety advisories prior to travel.
  • Extension options inside Moldova: E-Visas are generally not extended from within Moldova; if you need more time, you typically must leave Moldova and apply for a new e-Visa or obtain a new visa through Moldova authorities before re-entry.
